There has been a shooting on the campus of Central Michigan University. The suspect is still at large and as a result the entire city of Mount Pleasant is on lockdown. Pastor Dana Hendershot and the staff of Immanuel are safe.
We pray for all who are being affected by this incident and especially for law enforcement and first responders.
Rostered leaders are encouraged to reach out pastorally to any in their congregations who are connected to CMU as student, faculty or staff.
Bishop Satterlee has offered our staff and the Synod Response team for pastoral care and conversation with members of Immanuel and the greater community next week as needed.
